Citizens First Bank earned its 31st consecutive five-star rating for the quarter ended March 31 from BauerFinancial, the nation's leading bank ratings service. It is the highest rating the company awards for superior financial performance. The Villages hometown community bank also ended the quarter with the lowest percentage of nonperforming assets in the state out of 189 banks with at least a four-star rating, the rating service's researchers found. It's only one-tenth of 1%.
