Citizens First Bank increased deposit market share this year in two of The Villages' key markets. The Villages hometown community bank now manages 62% of all deposits in ZIP code 32162 from County Road 42 in The Villages of Marion County to County Road 466A in The Villages of Sumter County. Deposits grew year over year by 4% in that ZlP code. The bank also gained market share in ZIP code 32163, a growing area south of CR 466A to about CR 470. It manages 45.4% of total deposits in 32163, a year-over-year increase of about 8.4%. The gain in market share comes as BauerFinancial, a leading bank ratings firm, recently awarded the bank a five-star rating, the firm's highest financial rating.
